SRS Labs VP Recognized as Finalist for Local American Electronics Association Chapter's 13th Annual High-Tech Awards

VP of Software Engineering Sarah Yang Honored with Nomination for
"Outstanding Woman in Technology" Award by Orange County Chapter of
AeA SRS Labs (NASDAQ:SRSL), a leading supplier of surround sound,
audio, and voice technologies, today announced that Sarah Yang,
vice president of software engineering at SRS Labs, has been
selected as a finalist for the American Electronics Association
(AeA) local chapter's "Outstanding Woman in Technology" Award. The
nomination, which highlights outstanding technological
contributions by women in the Orange County region, will culminate
with an awards ceremony in Costa Mesa on May 18. The evening is
designed to honor Orange County's premier technology companies and
acknowledge outstanding individual contributions to the local
high-tech community through awards including "Outstanding Company,"
"Outstanding Public Company CEO," and "Innovative Products." Yang's
selection as a finalist highlights the long-time technological
contributions amassed during her career with SRS Labs. "Sarah has
played an integral part in the growth and success we've achieved in
our licensing business," said Thomas C.K. Yuen, chairman and chief
executive officer at SRS Labs. "Her technology leadership and
management skills have helped SRS Labs deliver world class audio
solutions to top manufacturers like Hewlett Packard, LG, NEC,
Panasonic, Samsung, Sony and Toshiba." Yang joined SRS Labs in
February 2000 and has since focused on strengthening and expanding
the company's technology leadership in the audio marketplace.
During her tenure with the company, she has overseen the team's
development of more than ten new technologies, and SRS Labs now
holds more than 100 pending and secured patents covering its
extensive audio and voice technologies. Yang holds a master's
degree in physics from Texas A&M University, a master's degree
in electrical engineering from the Institute of Acoustics of
Science Academia of China, and a bachelor's degree in electrical
engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China.

announced at a ceremony held at the Westin South Coast Plaza in
