Agreement Further Solidifies Netsmart as Leading Provider of
State-Level Vital Records Systems GREAT RIVER, N.Y., March 1

services for health and human services organizations, today
announced it has signed a contract to provide a comprehensive vital
records software system and related services to the Illinois
Department of Public Health Division of Vital Records. The contract
will be performed over a ten-year period and is expected to
generate approximately $3.4 million in revenue for Netsmart over
the next 24 months. In addition, the contract also provides for
training, maintenance and support of approximately $400,000 per
year for the next 9 years. There is a provision, over the life of
the contract, for additional work in the form of change orders up
to $2.5 million. Netsmart Public Health's comprehensive vital
records software is designed to help the Illinois division
accomplish its goal of reengineering data collection systems for
birth, death and fetal deaths, as well as streamlining vital
service request tracking and reporting. In addition to the base
system, customization and installation, the contract with Netsmart
includes training, maintenance and support. Traditional and
Web-based training will be provided to system users, including
statewide medical examiners, physicians, coroners, funeral
directors, local registrars and state Division of Vital Records
staff through Netsmart University, the company's comprehensive
suite of training and education services. In addition to Illinois,
Netsmart provides vital records management software to the
following seven states: Florida, Kentucky, Nebraska, Nevada, New
Jersey, Ohio and South Dakota, as well as to DeKalb County, Ga. and
