capabilities and feature additions to its highly successful
ProxSys� PX Media Asset Management product line. The PX family will
be on display at NAB 2008 from April 14-17 at the Las Vegas
Convention Center, Booth SL2605.
New features and capabilities include:
HD/SD Media Acquisition
-- The PX-100, combined with the FS-5 Portable DTE recorder, offers an
unprecedented acquisition-to-archive workflow, enabling users to organize
their content with full metadata continuity.
-- New PX Media Transfer Utility supports hierarchical file-based import
and export capabilities with multi-platform support and multiple file
format options.
-- Apple Final Cut Pro XML Interchange Format support via the Focus
Enhancements Universal Metadata Engine(TM). Users can easily share timecode-
based metadata between acquisition, archive, and their nonlinear editing
(NLE) timeline.
-- The PX Automated Ingest Station offers seamless 24/7 automated
broadcast monitoring and recording.
Archive Management
-- New PX Media Server Software V5.1 provides new capabilities, including
powerful media search engine improvements such as full text search,
downloadable project and user statistics for easy tracking; and playout
scheduling with trimming and content type grouping.
HD Media Delivery
-- With the SOAP-based PX Interface Protocol, users can deliver custom
web-based content directly from the PX server. In addition, the PX HD
Playout Station provides many enhanced capabilities while simplifying the
process of content playout.

2008 at a suggested retail price of $599.
-- PX Automated Ingest Station is currently available at a suggested
retail price starting at $10,950.
-- PX HD Playout Station is expected to be available in Summer 2008 at a
suggested retail price starting at $24,950.
-- PX Interface Protocol is currently available at a suggested retail
price starting at $3,950.
-- PX Media Server Software V5.1 is expected to be available in Summer
2008, and will ship on all PX 100/500 Media Servers.
