Rice Named Controller of Firstbank Corporation ALMA, Mich., Jan. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Samuel G. Stone, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Firstbank Corporation , announced that Richard Rice has been named Controller of the corporation. This appointment follows the long-planned retirement of Margaret Hutchison. Rice has over 18 years of accounting and finance experience with major publicly traded bank holding companies. He has served as Vice President - Corporate Accounting for National City Bank since 1998. Other positions Rice has held during his tenure at National City and First of America include Accounting Division Vice President, Senior Accountant and staff accountant.
