Endwave's Microwave Switch Arrays Power Homeland Security Checkpoint System SUNNYVALE, Calif., Aug. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Endwave Corporation (NASDAQ:ENWV), a leading provider of high frequency RF modules for telecommunications networks, defense electronics and homeland security systems, today announced the receipt of a follow-on purchase order from SafeView, Inc. for additional Phase I microwave switch arrays for use in SafeScout(TM), SafeView's advanced personnel screening portal. This follow-on order for Phase I switch arrays will allow Endwave to maintain production of the current hardware for SafeView, with their transition to SafeView's new Phase II design anticipated in early 2006. SafeView has developed a new technology designed to improve the effectiveness of people screening at portal security checkpoints, providing for the rapid and safe identification of concealed objects being carried by individuals. These objects can be made of any material including metal, plastics, ceramics, paper, and wood. SafeView's security portal produces a three-dimensional holographic image of the individual being scanned. Using breakthrough millimeter wave technology developed by Battelle Laboratories, the SafeScout can detect and reveal the presence of such dangerous material to security personnel in real time.
