Leading Chinese Wireless Carrier Deploys Datastream 7i to Automate
Management of Network Infrastructure Datastream 7i Enables
Efficient Management of Geographically-Dispersed Assets to Ensure
Reliable Service to 14 Million Subscribers GREENVILLE, S.C., May 31
/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Datastream Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:DSTME)
today announced that China's Jiangsu Mobile Communication Co., Ltd.
(JSMCC) is deploying the Datastream 7i(TM) Asset Performance
Management solution to reduce operations costs and improve
efficiency of its wireless network infrastructure. With more than
14 million subscribers, JSMCC is the dominant mobile service
provider in China's Jiangsu province. JSMCC selected the
Web-architected Datastream 7i after an extensive evaluation of
asset management solutions. Datastream won the evaluation because
of its ability to offer local support in China as well as the
product's rich features. JSMCC heavily utilizes the Datastream 7i
Barcoding, Mobile, Inventory Management, Maintenance Management,
and Project Management modules to better manage their
geographically-dispersed and frequently-moving assets and to
replace antiquated manual processes. "We are using Datastream 7i to
manage our operations and to extract precise data on our most
remote assets," said Wang Jian, the general manager of JSMCC. "We
are able to manage our entire infrastructure under a single asset
management deployment and replace our previous paper-based
processes with automated ones. This deployment is critical to
strengthening the operational capabilities of JSMCC." JSMCC is
integrating Datastream 7i with its existing financial application
using Databridge, an advanced module that simplifies application
integration. This integration will enable JSMCC to gain more timely
insight into operating costs so it can maximize efficiency.
"Datastream is committed to growing the China market, and the JSMCC
deployment is one example of that dedication," said Datastream CEO
Larry Blackwell. "Customers in China, like JSMCC, are selecting
Datastream because of our vertical expertise and their growing
demand to better manage their assets and infrastructures." About
