next-generation Mustang 300 SoC is a highly integrated mixed-signal
protocol processor for gigabit EPON applications. With Mustang 300,
an ONU for fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) can be implemented with as few
additional components as an optical transceiver, Gigabit Ethernet
PHY, flash, and power supply, resulting in a low BOM cost and a
reduced development cost. The optical transceiver can be
implemented with the Zeus 2(TM) transceiver chip and an optical
laser diode, PIN diode, and TIA. When integrated with the
award-winning Arion(TM) VDSL2 and Atlanta(TM) VoIP technologies,
Mustang 300 provides systems vendors and service providers with
comprehensive fiber-to-the-node (FTTN) and fiber-to-the-building
(FTTB) solutions, enabling reduced costs and operational
complexities and rapid time to value. The combination of Mustang
and Atlanta delivers an Optical Services Gateway (OSG) platform for
delivery of Triple Play services with excellent quality of user
experience. The processing power of the OSG enables new options for
television entertainment such as interactive viewing, integration
with voice and data communications, personalization and other
value-added services. Centillium's Mustang 300 and OSG offerings
include a robust software package with API and reference designs
for significantly reduced development cost and accelerated time to
market. About Centillium Communications Centillium Communications,
