Explanation of Responses:
( 1)  On July 19, 2013, the reporting person exercised a warrant to purchase 113,333 shares of First Federal Bancshares of Arkansas, Inc. (FFBH) common stock at $3 per share. The reporting person paid the exercise price on a cashless basis, resulting in FFBH's withholding of 35,055 of the warrant shares to pay the exercise price and issuing to the reporting person the remaining 78,278 shares.
( 2)  Each Restricted Stock Unit represents a contingent right to receive one share of FFBH common stock.
( 3)  The Restricted Stock Units were granted pursuant to the 2011 Omnibus Incentive Plan.
( 4)  The Restricted Stock Units vest on July 19, 2016.
