International Absorbents Begins Construction of East Coast Manufacturing and Warehouse Facility BELLINGHAM, Wash., Dec. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- International Absorbents Inc. , a leading developer and producer of environmentally-friendly pet care and industrial products, today announced that it has commenced construction of its new manufacturing and warehouse facility in Jesup, Georgia. This is the second phase of the Company's three-phase expansion plan. The new plant will be the Company's first East Coast production facility and is a key step in expanding production capacity while addressing customer needs of a physical presence close to eastern markets. Initial construction work on the 15 acre site, including clearing, grading and a storm water control basin, is currently underway. Industrial level electrical service, gas, water, communications lines, and railway are available for tie in at the site. The city of Jesup has just completed the sewer link extension to the property. The 86,000 square foot facility will include manufacturing, warehouse and office space. Construction and relocation to a new 100,000 square foot facility in Northwest Washington, phase one in the Company's three-phase expansion plan, was recently completed on schedule and on budget. As noted above, construction of an East Coast production facility in Jesup, GA, the second phase of the plan, is now in progress. The third phase, relocation of the Company's primary manufacturing line in Bellingham, WA to the new Northwest Washington plant, is planned for Spring, 2005.
