Phil., Idera's Chief Executive Officer and Chief Scientific Officer will participate in a Drug Development Focus Session at the BIO CEO & Investor Conference 2006, taking place at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City February 13th through February 15th. The session, entitled, "Toll-Like Receptors: The Cure for All Ailments?" will take place at 8:30 am ET on Wednesday, February 15th in the Basildon Room. Toll-like receptors (TLRs) function in immune cells as the sensors of pathogens. They recognize different molecules present in pathogens, such as bacteria, viruses and parasites, and mount an appropriate immune response against the foreign invaders. TLRs have become attractive targets for developing immune modulators to treat a number of diseases including cancer, asthma, allergies, and infectious diseases.
