Swedish engineer Alfa Laval AB (ALFA.SK) said Tuesday it has received a SEK90 million order from a Japanese engineering company to supply heat exchangers for a new natural gas project in Qatar.

 
   MAIN FACTS: 

-Delivery is scheduled for 2012.

-The order placed by JGC Corporation (1963.TO) in Japan, consists of various heat exchangers to the Barzan Onshore gas plant, located in Ras Laffan Industrial City, north of Doha, Qatar.

-The Alfa Laval heat exchangers will be used for recovering energy in the gas cleaning process and for process cooling of the overall gas plant.

-The Barzan Project, managed by RasGas Company, a joint venture between Qatar Petroleum and ExxonMobil (XOM), is planned to start commercial production in 2014, and produce 1.4 billion cubic feet a day, mainly for the local market.

-Shares closed Monday at SEK114.60.
