Superconductive Components, Inc. Elects Vice President-Research
& Engineering COLUMBUS, Ohio, May 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --
Superconductive Components, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: SCCI) today
announced the Board of Directors elected Scott Campbell, Ph.D. Vice
President-Research & Engineering, effective immediately. Since
joining Superconductive Components, Inc. in July 2002, Dr. Campbell
has served as Technical Director with responsibilities for the
Company's research and development programs and manufacturing
scale-up in conjunction with product commercialization. Dan Rooney,
Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President, commented, "We are
pleased to appoint Dr. Campbell to this new position. It reflects
his contributions to the Company during the past two years and the
importance we place on research and engineering activities. Scott
was also instrumental in the Company's successful efforts regarding
the Phase 1 & II Department of Development SBIR award and the
Ohio Department of Development Third Frontier Action Fund grant
during this period. Prior to joining the Company, Dr. Campbell was
Senior Research Manager at Oxynet, Inc. (Columbus, Ohio) for five
years. He managed two programs dedicated to commercialization of
medical oxygen concentrators and high purity nitrogen gas
de-oxygenation devices from licensed technology. From 1991-1997,
Dr. Campbell was Senior Staff Scientist, Corporate Research, at
AlliedSignal, Inc., now Honeywell, Inc., where he managed programs
directed toward developing enabling and focus technologies for the
company's business units. His achievements included two of the four
patents he has been awarded during his professional career. Dr.
Campbell also held engineering and scientific positions with other
technology-based companies from 1983-1991. Dr. Campbell earned his
Ph.D., Metallurgy, from the University of Illinois at Chicago in
1997. In addition, he earned M.S. and B.S., Ceramic Engineering,
degrees from The Ohio State University in 1983 and 1980,
respectively. He is a member of the American Ceramic Society.

superconductors, ferroelectric and optical materials for use in
wire, cable, batteries, wireless and fiber optics systems. The
