world's leading information security event, today announced the
expanded keynote line-up for the 13th annual event to include
General John Gordon, Assistant to the President for Homeland
Security, Dr. Penrose Albright, Assistant Secretary for Science and
Technology, U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and Amit
Yoran, Director of the National Cyber Security Division, DHS.
Expecting to attract more than 10,000 people from a broad range of
industries, keynote speakers will offer insights and authoritative

security issues. Microsoft chairman and chief software architect,
Bill Gates will provide the opening industry keynote for the
conference, which is scheduled for February 23-27 at San
Francisco's Moscone Center. Recognized as the premier data security
industry event, the RSA Conference will include sessions on
identity and access management, hacks and threats, privacy,
government security, aerospace, healthcare/biotech, and many
others. This year's event will commence with a special welcome by
Jim Bidzos, a "Security Year In Review" presentationby Cokie

FEBRUARY 24 * William H. Gates is chairman and chief software
architect of Microsoft Corporation, the global leader in software,
services and Internet technologies for personal and business
computing. Gates left Harvard in his junior year to devote his
energies to Microsoft, which he had founded in 1975 with childhood
friend Paul Allen. Guided by a belief that the computer would be a
valuable tool on every office desktop and in every home, they began

February 24 at 8:45 a.m. WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 25 * General John
Gordon is the Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and
serves as the head of the Homeland Security Council at the White
House. He is responsible to the President for developing
interagency homeland security policy, advising him during domestic
incidents involving terrorism and natural disasters, and leading
the Homeland Security Council staff. General Gordon has a
distinguished background in public service. Before joining the
Homeland Security Council, General Gordon was the Deputy National
Security Advisor for Combating Terrorism at the White House. A
retired four-star general, Gordon came to the White House having
been the Administrator of the National Nuclear Security
Administration and Under Secretary of Energy. Prior to this
position, he served as Deputy Director of Central Intelligence and
Associate Director of Central Intelligence for the Military Support
at the CIA.Gordon's keynote will take place on Wednesday, February
25 at 2:00 p.m. * Dr. Penrose C. Albright is Assistant Secretary
for Science and Technology, U.S. Department of Homeland Security
and has been involved in the national security arena since 1986.
Prior to joining Homeland Security, Dr. Albright served as
Assistant Director for the Office of Homeland and National Security
in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and
Senior Director for Research and Development in the Office of
Homeland Security. Previously, Dr. Albright served in the Defense
Advanced Research Projects Agency and in a number of positions for
the Institute for Defense Analyses. He has been at the forefront
over a broad set of technical issues within national and homeland
security, and is a nationally known expert in the science and
technology of missile and air defense, serving on several national
panels. Dr. Albright's keynote will take placeon Wednesday,
February 25 at 2:30 p.m. * Amit Yoran is Director of the National
Cyber Security Division of the U.S. Department of Homeland
Security. He is responsible for overseeing cyberspace analysis,
issuing alerts and warning, improving information sharing,
responding to major incidents, and aiding in national-level
recovery efforts. Most recently Mr. Yoran served as the Vice
President of Worldwide Managed Security Services at Symantec
Corporation, delivering 24x7 security services to hundred of
companies in over 40 countries around the world. A technology
entrepreneur, Mr. Yearn founded Riptech, a pioneer in the managed
security services business. Riptech was acquired by Symantec. Mr.
Yoranserved as an officer in the United States military and as the
vulnerability assessment program director for the Defense
Department Computer Emergency Response Team and supported the
Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense. Yoran will be
participating in the keynote panel session titled, Information
Security Governance: How Do We Get There? This session will examine
key issues relating to information security governance in the
public and private sector. The panel will be led by James A. Lewis,
director of the technology and public policy program at the Center
