Gunderson Dettmer Stough Villeneuve Franklin & Hachigian, LLP announced today the expansion of its domestic Corporate and Securities practices with the addition of partner Louis Soto to the firm’s Silicon Valley office. Lou focuses on representing emerging growth companies in a wide range of industries, along with the venture capital, private equity, and institutional investors supporting those companies.

Attorney Biographies

LOUIS D. SOTO is a member of the Corporate and Securities practice group which advises emerging growth companies, public companies, venture capital firms and investment banks. Lou primarily focuses on the formation, financing and general corporate counseling of technology businesses. Lou represents clients in angel and venture financing, public offering and acquisition transactions as well as in corporate governance and securities counseling matters.

Lou also has significant experience representing family offices, angel investors, venture capital firms and strategic investors.

Lou earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and his B.A. from Rutgers University. Before joining Gunderson Dettmer Lou was a partner in the Emerging Companies group at Orrick.
