Irish Life & Permanent announces new Director 
 
 
Chairman: "Appointment continues process of Board refreshment" 
 
 
 
 
Tuesday 17th August 2010.  The Chairman of Irish Life & Permanent Group Holdings 
plc, Gillian Bowler, has announced the appointment of Alexandra (Sandy) Kinney 
as a non-executive Director of the Group. 
 
Sandy Kinney is a former financial services partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers in 
London and is currently a Non Executive Director of the Skipton Building Society 
and of the UK Financial Services Compensation Scheme. 
 
Speaking today, Gillian Bowler said that the appointment was part of the Group's 
ongoing process of Board refreshment; "Sandy is the third new non-Executive 
Director to be appointed in the past nine months and continues the process of 
Board refreshment that I committed the Group to at the AGM in 2009.  Sandy's 
long experience as an accountant and advisor on risk and performance management 
to the boards of a number of insurance companies and investment banks will be 
invaluable to the Group and I look forward to her contribution in the months
