Board changes at Irish Life & Permanent Group Holdings plc 
 
 
Tuesday 23rd March 2010.  Gillian Bowler, the Chairman of Irish Life & Permanent 
Group Holdings plc, has announced a number of changes to the membership of the 
Committees of the Board and the establishment of a new Committee to deal with 
Risk & Compliance issues. 
 
Committee Memberships and new Committee: 
 
The membership of the Board committees is now as follows: 
 
Audit Committee: Breffni Byrne (Chairman), Margaret Hayes, Roy Keenan & Pat 
Ryan. 
 
Nomination Committee: Gillian Bowler (Chairman), Breffni Byrne, Danuta Gray, Roy 
Keenan & Ray MacSharry. 
 
Remuneration & Compensation Committee: Danuta Gray (Chairman), Gillian Bowler, 
Eamonn Heffernan, Ray MacSharry & Pat Ryan. 
 
Risk & Compliance Committee : Pat Ryan (Chairman), Breffni Byrne, Bernard 
Collins, Eamonn Heffernan, Roy Keenan & Liam O'Reilly. 
 
Roy Keenan is the Senior Independent Director on the Board. 
 
Planned retirement of two Directors: 
 
The Chairman has also announced that Eamonn Heffernan and Liam O'Reilly have 
advised the Board that they do not intend to stand for re-election to the board 
at the forthcoming AGM [Friday the 14th May 2010]. 
Ms Gillian Bowler, Chairman, thanked both Directors for their contribution to 
the Board.  She said:  "Both Eamonn and Liam have been valued colleagues and 
have made enormous contributions to the Board during their respective tenures. 
On behalf of my colleagues, I want to express our appreciation to both of them 
for their work on the Board and we wish them every success in the years ahead."
