    Kieran McGowan has advised Irish Life & Permanent plc that, after 9 years service on the board, he now wishes to retire as a
non-executive director of the company. Ms Gillian Bowler, chairman, in acceding to his wishes, has paid tribute to Mr. McGowan for his long
and distinguished service to the board and the company since his appointment in 1999.
