           Firestone Diamonds PLC ("the company")
                              
Mr.  Michael  J.  Hampton, a Director of  the  Company,  has
informed  the  Company  that, apart  from  the  exercise  of
warrants  previously  announced, on August  16th,  1999,  he
purchased 43,464 Ordinary Shares of 20p each in the  Company
at  a price of 50p per share, increasing his shareholding in
the Company to 173,321 Ordinary Shares representing 0.74% of
the issued share capital of the Company.
