The following statement has been issued by Firestone Diamonds Plc and is
released in London by Bankside Consultants on behalf of the Company.

Firestone Diamonds plc ("the Company") 

Following the exercise of warrants to subscribe for Ordinary Shares in the
Company, application has been made for the admission of 86,119 Ordinary Shares
of 20p each in the Company to trading on the Alternative Investment Market of
the London Stock Exchange.  It is expected that the new shares will be
admitted to trading on June 1, 1999.
