Firestone Diamonds plc ("the Company")

Following the annual general meeting of the Company on 26th January, 2000, a
total of 1,000,000 options to purchase Ordinary Shares of 20p each in the
Company were granted to Directors of the Company, exercisable at a price of
#0.465 per share, representing the average mid market closing price of the
shares over the previous 30 days.  The options were granted to Directors as
follows:

JF Kenny - 250,000
P Kenny - 250,000
H Jenner-Clarke - 250,000
J Kenny - 150,000
M Hampton - 100,000

In addition, a total of 101,000 options to purchase Ordinary Shares of 20p
each in the Company were granted to employees of the Company, exercisable at a
price of #0.445 per share, representing the mid market closing price of the
shares on the date of grant.
