Global Hemp Group Inc. Adds Agriculture Expert Rod Lanier to Board of Advisors

SURREY, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - May 29, 2014) - GLOBAL HEMP GROUP INC. ("GHG" or the "Company") (PINKSHEETS:GBHPF)(CSE:GHG)(FRANKFURT:GHG) announced today that Rod Lanier has joined its Board of Advisors to advise GHG in all aspects of industrial hemp cultivation.

Rod Lanier brings a lifetime of agriculture experience to GHG. A third generation farmer, he manages NeverIdle Farm Ltd., a 3,300-acre operation in Alberta started by his grandfather in 1909. Through Lanier's management, NeverIdle has participated in a variety of cropping and soil projects with national and provincial agencies in Canada, and NeverIdle was a regional pioneer in sustainable "no-till" farming, which encourages moisture retention, soil biodiversity and erosion control.

Lanier has also been active in education and research around innovative agricultural techniques. He was a director of the Science Alberta Foundation, a founding member of the Palliser Agriculture Management Society, and has conducted research and education through the Canadian Department of Agriculture and Agri-Food.

Lanier is versed in the cultivation of industrial hemp as well: NeverIdle added hemp to its crop rotation seven years ago, as part of its commitment to optimizing soil health by growing different crop varieties on a rotation cycle. Hemp has become an integral part of NeverIdle's ecology strategy, and its profitability.

Lanier joins GHG at a crucial juncture for the company. GHG recently contracted with a group a farms in Alberta to grow hemp on 1,500 acres led by Lanier, and plans to ramp up its cultivation operations significantly in the near future.
