eHydrogen Solutions Anticipates Increased Revenue and Portfolio Valuation: Stationary Fuel Cell Revenues Will Double to $716 Mil
June 08 2010 - 8:30AM
Marketwired
eHydrogen Solutions, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: EHYD) announced today the
addition and targeting of the $400 million and growing Stationary
Fuel Cell market to its Distributed Energy portfolio of On Demand
Hydrogen Production (ODHP) solutions. The Company's technology,
designs, and solutions complement and meet this burgeoning market.
Pike Research's analysis indicates that stationary fuel cells
offer enormous long-term potential. With global electricity demand
continuing to rise, distributed energy generation, using a variety
of renewable power technologies, is one of the most important tools
to address energy needs in ways that will have a limited impact on
worldwide carbon emissions.
Within the vast Renewable Distributed Energy Generation (RDEG)
market, stationary fuel cells, while a relatively small category,
are nevertheless an important part of the solution for a variety of
residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
The addition of this $400 million market together with the
previously announced addition of solutions for Hydrogen Fueling
stations has significantly increased the Company's revenue
projections and expected portfolio valuation.
According to a recent report from Pike Research, a respected
market research and consulting firm that provides in-depth analysis
of global clean technology markets, while installed cost per kW has
traditionally been a major challenge, the economics of fuel cells
are improving each year, and the CleanTech market intelligence firm
forecasts global revenues will more than double over the next few
years, from $336 million in 2009 to $716 million in 2013.
Fuel cells offer a clean, efficient source of electricity that
can be well-suited to a variety of residential, commercial, and
industrial stationary applications. Ranging in capacity from 1
kilowatt (kW) to 10 megawatts (MW) or more, stationary fuel cells
have a number of versatile applications that are increasingly
gaining traction in various niche markets.
The Company's recent acquisitions of core ODHP technologies
produce hydrogen in sufficient quantities to meet most production
requirements for the growing stationary Fuel Cell market, together
with the hydrogen production requirements of Hydrogen Fueling
stations (required to meet the growing demand of Hydrogen Fuel Cell
Vehicles). Hydrogen can be produced economically on-site, at little
cost, with no outside power source and does not need to be
transported, resulting in a 'perfect' clean, and sustainable
Distributed Energy source.
The Company believes Distributed Power Generation, for both
residential and commercial use (both for Combined Heat & Power
and as a Hydrogen source for fuel cell vehicles and power
generation), is an emerging growth sector promising to become a
significant and vital energy option primed for strong sales growth
of the company's holdings and technologies.
The Company's recent IP asset acquisitions and developmental
progress of key On Demand Hydrogen Production (ODHP) technologies
have enabled the company to expand its operations to the critical
Technology Development & Demonstration phase of the Innovative
Cycle, which includes Prototype, Demonstration and Market Analysis.
The Company has assembled experienced cross-functional teams to
guide each innovation acquisition, technological adaptation and
system integration through the required steps to successful
commercialization.
The Company encourages collaborative development of its core
ODHP technologies through its Collaboration Opportunities portal on
its recently updated website @ www.eHydrogenSolutions.com.
The Company believes its acquisition and growth-oriented
business plan will provide stockholders with consistent equity
growth and access to the multi-billion dollar alternative energy
industry through its licensing and distribution of hydrogen-powered
energy systems and solutions.
