Weingarten Names Burdette Huffman Western Region Investment Director

Weingarten Realty Investors (NYSE:WRI) announced today that Burdette Huffman has been appointed regional investment director for the Western Region. In this role, Mr. Huffman will be responsible for acquisitions aimed at expanding the company’s retail footprint in Southern California and other western states.

Prior to joining the Western Region team, Mr. Huffman held a number of positions within the company focusing on capital markets, redevelopment and business development. Mr. Huffman earned an MBA with Honors from Rice University and a bachelor of arts from Tulane University.

“During Burdette’s tenure at Weingarten, he has proven his ability to work through complex situations and deliver results for the company. He has a broad base of experience to draw from and will prove invaluable to our team’s efforts to focus on the West—and Southern California, in particular—as a highly promising growth market,” said Neil Soskin, Vice President and Director of Leasing.
