The Talbots, Inc. Announces Key Executive Promotion

The Talbots, Inc. (NYSE: TLB) today announced the promotion of Lizanne Kindler to Executive Vice President, General Merchandise Manager. In this role, Ms. Kindler will oversee the merchandise strategy and direction for Talbots core apparel, shoe and accessories businesses across all channels, and will report to Chief Executive Officer Trudy Sullivan.

Commenting on the promotion, Ms. Sullivan said, “Since joining Talbots two years ago, Lizanne’s leadership skills, vision for the brand’s potential and empathy for our customer’s point of view have made a significant impact to our organization. She has been instrumental in the re-imagination of our merchandising strategy and merchant team, and I am confident that she will continue to elevate our brand and product offering.”

Ms. Kindler had previously served as Talbots Senior Vice President of Merchandising, General Merchandise Manager, since joining the Company in January 2008. Prior to Talbots, she was Senior Vice President, General Merchandise Manager of Ann Taylor Loft, where she was responsible for merchandising.
