PR Newswire (US)
HARLEYSVILLE, Pa., Oct. 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Raymond J. De
Hont, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Met-Pro Corporation
(NYSE:MPR), announced today that the Company's International
Division, in cooperation with the Company's Strobic Air subsidiary,
has received an order to supply a total of forty (40) Strobic Air
Tri-Stack(TM) fans for use in a new research facility located in
the Middle East. The total value of this order is approximately
$1.2 million. The equipment is expected to ship in the first
quarter of the Company's next fiscal year ending January 31, 2009.
The Tri-Stack(TM) fans will be used to exhaust fumes from multiple
laboratories within the new facility. Each of the fans will be
equipped with a Strobic Air patented acoustical silencer nozzle to
further reduce sound output levels at the fan discharge. This
order, which comes from a new customer who is a major contractor,
is one of the largest projects of its kind ever awarded in the
Middle East. Strobic Air was selected for this project based on
their best-in-class reputation for supplying innovative products
that are specifically designed to handle the complex issues of
laboratory exhaust. "This order comes as a direct result of Met-Pro
opening a regional sales office in Verniolle, France in May of this
year to promote the sale of the Company's product recovery and
pollution control technologies in Europe and the Middle East,"
stated De Hont. "It also solidifies Strobic Air's reputation as a
supplier of choice worldwide for critical laboratory ventilation
requirements. We continue to be pleased by the steady stream of
customer interest in our products and remain optimistic about our
prospects for future awards of this type from the Middle East and
Europe as well as other regions around the world." About Met-Pro
