HARLEYSVILLE, Pa., Aug. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Raymond J. De Hont, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Met-Pro Corporation (NYSE:MPR), announced today that the Company's Strobic Air subsidiary in Harleysville, Pennsylvania, has received an order to supply laboratory fume hood exhaust systems, utilizing a total of twelve (12) Tri-Stack(TM) fans, to a prestigious hospital medical research facility in the Northeastern United States. The total value of this order is approximately $500,000. All of the equipment is expected to ship in the Company's next fiscal year ending January 31, 2009. Strobic Air was awarded this contract based on their best-in-class reputation for supplying low profile exhaust systems that are specifically designed to handle the complex issues of laboratory exhaust. All of the fans included in this order will utilize Strobic Air's patented acoustical silencer nozzles to further reduce sound output levels at the discharge of these inherently quiet fans. "This order is a further example of Strobic Air being recognized as the supplier of choice for technologically advanced fume hood exhaust systems at institutional, industrial and government laboratories," said De Hont. "Together with a steady level of customer interest and quotation activity for similar type projects, it allows us to remain optimistic about our prospects for future orders of this type at Strobic Air."
