SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 4, 2010 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- KKR Financial Holdings LLC (NYSE: KFN) ("KFN" or the "Company") today announced that on November 3, 2010, its board of directors appointed Chief Operating Officer Michael R. McFerran to the additional post of Chief Financial Officer.  Mr. McFerran will succeed Jeffrey B. Van Horn, who has been named Global Director of Tax for Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (together with its affiliates, "KKR") as well as Executive Vice President, Director of Tax for KFN.  KKR Financial Holdings LLC also announced that Nicole J. Macarchuk has been named the Company's General Counsel. All appointments were effective November 3, 2010.

Ms. Macarchuk joins KKR as a Director and also serves as General Counsel of KKR Asset Management LLC. Prior to joining KKR, Ms. Macarchuk served as Co-General Counsel and Managing Director at Och-Ziff Capital Management Group.  She holds a J.D. from Fordham University Law School and a B.A. from Fordham University.
