(NYSE:ITT) Board of Directors today announced the election of Sanjay Kothary to the position of Vice President, Chief Information Officer of the Corporation. Kothary was named Chief Information Officer in April. As Chief Information Officer, Kothary has responsibility for leading the company's development and deployment of information technology strategies. In this role, he reports to ITT's Chief Financial Officer George Minnich. "Sanjay brings a wealth of international experience, and we look to him to lead our Information Technology organization to define global processes and systems that will leverage ITT's scale and create a sustainable competitive advantage," said Steve Loranger, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of ITT. Kothary, 37, joined ITT in April, bringing more than 13 years of global IT development and leadership experience. Immediately prior to ITT, he was a Director at TPI, where he provided outsourcing advisory services to large global corporations such as General Motors. Prior to that, Kothary was General Manager, Strategic Client Group for WIPRO Technologies in Bangalore, India, responsible for a division of 1,200 people at locations around the world. Immediately prior to that, he was Chief Information Officer, Broadband Communications Sector of Motorola, Inc., and directed a team of 400 responding to the global IT needs of the $2 billion business. Kothary holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas, and an MBA from Northwestern University. ITT Industries, Inc.
