BATESVILLE, Ind., Nov. 29, 2010 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Hill-Rom
(NYSE: HRC) today announced the appointment of Brian Lawrence as Senior Vice President and
Chief Technology Officer. He will join Hill-Rom on December 6, 2010.
Lawrence joins Hill-Rom from GE Healthcare, where he was most
recently Chief Technology Officer, Life Support Solutions.
Previously, Lawrence held a number of leadership and
innovation positions in GE's Global Research Center. Before joining
GE, Lawrence was President and CEO of Extend Optical Systems
Corporation, and Senior Vice President of Research &
Development and Chief Technology Officer for Molecular
OptoElectronics Corporation.
Lawrence holds a Bachelor's and a Master's degree from the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology
(MIT) and a PhD from the Center for
Research and Education in Optics and Lasers (CREOL) at the
University of Central Florida.
