U.S. Army Awards Harris Corporation $6 Million Technical Services
Contract for U.S. Southern Command MELBOURNE, Fla., July 8
/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS), a leading
provider of mission-critical technical services, today announced
that it has been awarded a base year, $6.1 million contract by the
U.S. Army's Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) to provide
Command, Control, Communications, and Computer Systems (C4S)
support services for Joint Task Force (JTF)-Bravo at Soto Cano Air
Base, Honduras. The base contract contains four one-year incentive
options with a potential overall value of more than $25 million.
Under terms of the contract, Harris Technical Services Corporation
(HTSC) will provide support to the U.S. Southern Command's
(SOUTHCOM's) JTF-Bravo operational networks, C4S capabilities and
associated software, as well as specific U.S.-owned systems at
Joint Operation Centers (JOC) for the duration of the contract
performance period. HTSC will provide operations and maintenance
support for the JTF-Bravo C4S equipment, local area networks,
radios, telephones, and satellite terminals and equipment. Work
will be performed at Soto Cano Air Base, which is responsible for
the support of all U.S. military operations in Central America. "We
