WASHINGTON and LAS VEGAS, Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Harris Corporation (NYSE: HRS), an international communications and information technology company, is sharing its commercial broadcast technology expertise with attendees at two military conferences this month: the C4ISR Journal Conference taking place October 12-13 in Washington, D.C., and the Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Conference taking place October 21-22 in Las Vegas.

The C4ISR Journal Conference is the premier forum for the discussion and analysis of C4ISR-related issues, programs and developments, and provides a unique opportunity for interaction and conversation between attendees and speakers.  This year's event will address the increasingly important role that C4ISR technology and capabilities play in the leadership and command structure.

On October 12, John Delay, director, Architectures and Strategy, Harris Broadcast Communications, Government Solutions, is participating in a panel discussion at the C4ISR Journal Conference titled "Distributed Common Ground and Surface Systems."  During this session, representatives from government and industry will discuss progress on the software tools and information-sharing capabilities that analysts require in these intelligence networks.  Other invited panel participants include Col. Paul D. Nelson, Commander of the 480th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (SR) Wing, Langley Air Force Base, Va., and Robert Poor, assistant program manager, DCGS, United States Navy.

Harris also is participating in the upcoming Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Conference, which brings together key officials and representatives from both government and industry to examine the recent developments, most critical capability gaps and likely future direction for unmanned aircraft systems.  On October 21, Mr. Fred Poole, director, Advanced ISR Programs, Harris Broadcast Communications, Government Solutions, will address how commercial broadcast capabilities are applied toward UAS platforms in a discussion titled "Optimizing UAS USR Video Data for the Warfighter."
