WASHINGTON, Oct. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- (AUSA Booth 1907) - Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS) has been awarded a $46 million contract from the U.S. Army to supply its combat-proven Falcon(R) II AN/PRC-117F(C) radios. The AN/PRC-117F(C) multiband manpack radio, with more than 18,000 units fielded, provides combat-proven communications for Department of Defense (DoD), NATO, and military forces around the world. The radio has become the multiband multimission radio of choice for the U.S. DoD, including the Marine Corps, Army, Air Force tactical air control parties, and other DoD services. Last year, Harris won a $205 million competitive procurement contract to supply AN/PRC-117F(C) radios in support of the U.S. Marine Corps' MBMMR (Multiband, Multimission Radio) Standardization Program.
