Penetration Testing Product CORE IMPACT Integrates with Harris STAT
Guardian Vulnerability Management Suite to Extend Vulnerability
Management Capabilities Core Security Technologies, provider of
CORE IMPACT, the first-to-market penetration testing product for
assessing specific information security risks, and Harris
Corporation (NYSE:HRS), a leading provider of network security
solutions for more than 25 years, today announced the integration
of their products, CORE IMPACT and STAT Guardian(TM) Vulnerability
Management Suite (VMS). The new integration will allow customers to
scan their networks against a comprehensive vulnerability database
with STAT Scanner, the vulnerability assessment component of STAT
Guardian VMS, and then safely exploit those same vulnerabilities
with a CORE IMPACT penetration test. This will make it possible for
customers to more efficiently manage their vulnerabilities, as they
will now be able to determine if the identified vulnerabilities are
actually exploitable, precisely identify what network resources are
at risk and better prioritize their remediation efforts. In an
environment where new threats and breaches are occurring daily, it
is increasingly critical that customers are able to proactively
leverage vulnerability scanning and penetration testing. "Harris is
constantly working to provide our customers with integrated and
comprehensive network security solutions," said Rick Simonian, vice
president of Homeland Security Programs, Harris Government
Communications Systems Division. "By integrating STAT Guardian VMS
with CORE IMPACT, we offer customers the ability to instantly use
the results of their vulnerability scans to better inform their
penetration tests--making it even easier and more efficient to
prioritize their security efforts and protect their most critical
assets." "With the increased sophistication of attacks on
enterprise networks, organizations now realize that they must arm
themselves with the best vulnerability management technologies to
help them stay ahead of attackers and other threats," said Paul
Paget, CEO of Core Security Technologies. "By integrating STAT
Guardian VMS and CORE IMPACT, organizations can now leverage one of
the industry's leading vulnerability scanning technologies to
identify network vulnerabilities, and then test those results using
CORE IMPACT to understand the implications of exploiting them. The
result is a unified vulnerability management solution that helps
users improve their network's security." About Harris STAT Guardian
