Harris Corporation Awarded Contract From the Germany MoD for Falcon(R) II AN/PRC-117F(C) Tactical Radios

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Aug. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Harris
Corporation (NYSE:HRS) announced today that it has been awarded a
contract totaling $2.5 million for its Falcon(R) II AN/PRC-117F(C)
radios from the Germany Ministry of Defense (MoD). Harris will
supply manpack radios and accessories, providing Germany's MoD with
significant improvements in interoperability with NATO as well as
with other key coalition partners. The Falcon II AN/PRC-117F(C)
multiband, multimission, manpack radio is an advanced,
software-defined radio covering the entire 30 to 512 MHz frequency
spectrum, while providing the warfighter with unsurpassed,
battle-proven communications technology. Its embedded COMSEC has
NSA certification and is also certified by the Joint
Interoperability Test Command (JITC). The AN/PRC-117F(C) has a true
dual data capability, supporting both High Performance Waveform
(HPW) and legacy-based data systems. HPW supports data rates up to
64K over line of sight and up to 56K on 25 kHz SATCOM channels.
