ROCHESTER, N.Y., April 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS) announced on April 17 that Chester (Chet) Massari, 64, president, RF Communications Division, will retire from the company in December 2006. Dana Mehnert, 44, has been appointed president of RF Communications, effective July 1, and will have responsibility for the division's domestic defense business and operations. Steve Marschilok, 47, vice president and general manager of International Products and Systems for RF Communications, will have expanded responsibilities for Harris defense communications in the international market. He will leverage RF Communications' significant position with governments in more than 40 nations with the broad technical base of Harris' large Government Communications Systems business, which is headquartered in Melbourne, Florida. Mehnert joined Harris in 1985 and most recently was vice president and general manager of Government Operations for RF Communications. He graduated from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio in 1984 with a bachelor of science degree in Electrical Engineering and Applied Physics and a bachelor of arts degree in Political Science. He received a master's in Business Administration degree from the University of Rochester in 1991 with concentrations in International Finance and Marketing. He is a member of the Air Force Association, the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association, the Navy League of the U.S., the National Defense Industrial Association, the Association of the United States Army, and the Aerospace Industries Association. Marschilok joined Harris in 1981. His previous roles were vice president Government Operations, vice president JTRS Operations, director of sales for Europe and Central Asia, director U.S. Government Tactical Programs, in- country program manager for The Netherlands HF Tactical Radio Program, and various assignments of increasing responsibility in Program Management and Engineering. Mr. Marschilok has a BS degree in Computer and Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a master of science degree in Electrical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology. He is a member of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association and the past Harris corporate representative of the United Kingdom Defence Manufacturers' Association.
