Harris Corporation Promotes Daniel R. Pearson and Jeremy C. Wensinger to Group Presidents for Its Government Businesses

MELBOURNE, Fla., April 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Harris
Corporation (NYSE:HRS) has promoted two senior executives to newly
created positions with responsibility for the company's government
businesses. Daniel R. "Dan" Pearson, 54, has been named group
president - Defense Communications, and Jeremy C. Wensinger, 42,
has been named group president - Integrated Systems and Services.
Both Mr. Pearson and Mr. Wensinger will report to Robert C. Henry,
who was recently named executive vice president of Harris. The
leadership transition will begin immediately and will be effective
July 1, 2006, the beginning of the company's fiscal year 2007. Mr.
Pearson will have responsibility for the company's RF
Communications Division and Department of Defense Programs. He
joined Harris in 1977 and has held a number of engineering, program
management and general management positions within the company's
government businesses. He also served as president of the company's
former Communications Products Division serving commercial telecom
markets. Most recently he was president - Department of Defense
Programs in the company's Government Communications Systems
Division. Mr. Wensinger will have responsibility for the company's
National Programs, supporting the intelligence community; Civil
Programs, with customers such as the Federal Aviation
Administration and the U.S. Census Bureau; Homeland Security
programs; and Technical Services. He joined Harris in 1990 and has
held positions in program management, finance and general
management in the company's government businesses, and he served as
vice president and general manager of Harris Technical Services
Corporation. Most recently he was president - Harris Broadcast
Communications Division. "These new leadership positions are being
created within our government business to support future growth and

Dana A. Mehnert, 43, has been named president - RF Communications
Division. Mr. Mehnert joined Harris in 1985 and most recently was
vice president - Government Operations for RF Communications. He
previously had held management positions at RF Communications in
government sales, international sales, operations, and general
management. Mr. Mehnert succeeds Chester A. "Chet" Massari who will
retire at the end of the year following 36 years of service with
Harris. "Under Chet's leadership, RF Communications revenue has
more than tripled in the past five years," Mr. Lance said. "He has
led the business to the industry's preeminent position in tactical
radio communications. His contributions to Harris have been
immense." Sheldon J. Fox, 47, has been named vice president and
general manager - Department of Defense Programs in the Government
Communications Systems Division. Mr. Fox joined Harris in 1984 and
most recently was vice president - Programs with responsibility for
ground satellite communications and networking communication
systems. Previously, he held positions with Harris in business
