MELBOURNE, Fla., Jan. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS) announced today that Chairman, President and CEO Howard Lance will receive AeA's Abacus Award as Florida's High-Tech Executive of the Year at a ceremony this evening in Fort Lauderdale. The Abacus Award is presented annually by the Florida Council of AeA (formerly the American Electronics Association) to honor high-tech executives and educators who have taken steps to advance the business of technology in Florida. Previous Abacus Award winners include Florida Governor Jeb Bush, former Florida Senator Bob Graham, and Citrix President and CEO Mark Templeton.
