Harris Awarded $52 Million Order Under the New Contract ROCHESTER,
N.Y., Dec. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Harris Corporation
(NYSE:HRS) today announced that the Marine Corps Systems Command
(MARCORSYSCOM) has increased the ceiling value of a five-year $75
million Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract
announced in March 2005 to $586 million. Under the contract, Harris
is supplying the Marines with high-frequency (HF) AN/PRC-150(C)
Falcon(R) II radio systems for tactical, secure, and joint
communications applications. Under the terms of the new increased
contract ceiling, Harris has been awarded the first delivery order
totaling approximately $52 million. "We are very pleased to
continue our long and successful relationship with the Marine Corps
by providing advanced secure communications systems such as the
AN/PRC-150(C) and ongoing support for the Marines in the field,"
said Dana Mehnert, vice president and general manager of U.S.
Government Products, Harris RF Communications Division. "This
decision by the Marines exemplifies the confidence they have in the
dependability and security of Harris radios that will now play an
even greater role in providing the reliable communications so
critical to the effectiveness of their missions." Under the
contract, Harris will supply its AN/PRC-150(C) manpack and
AN/VRC-104(V)3 vehicular systems. The Harris AN/PRC-150(C) is an
advanced high-frequency radio covering the 1.6 to 60 MHz frequency
spectrum. The AN/PRC-150(C) is the only HF radio with embedded
communications security that has been certified for transmission of
U.S. classified information. The AN/VRC-104(V)3 vehicular product
is a fully integrated communications system that includes the
Harris AN/PRC-150(C) tactical radio and 150 watt high- frequency
power amplifier. This system also covers the 30 to 60 MHz frequency
range offering secure Type-1 interoperability with the Marine
Corps' AN/PRC- 117F(C) multiband multimission radios (MBMMR). The
radios will be used to modernize the Marine Corps' active duty and
reserve components' legacy high-frequency tactical radio systems,
the MRC-138s and GRC-193s, and will also be used for other USMC
programs. The Harris AN/PRC-150(C) HF manpack radio, which provides
Marines with secure, long-range voice and data capabilities even in
the harshest conditions, has become the long-range combat net radio
of choice for U.S. and allied military forces. Its embedded
information security features enable secure ground-to-ground and
ground-to-air communications in all HF modes and in fixed-frequency
modes with SINCGARS radios. Harris RF Communications Division is a
leading supplier of secure voice and data communications products,
systems, and networks to military, government, and commercial
organizations worldwide. Harris is an international communications
