With NetBoss(R), Claro has a single, centralized Network Operations Center (NOC) that manages all of its wireless networks throughout Brazil. This contract marks the third expansion project awarded to Harris by Claro in the last three years. Claro is a subsidiary of America Movil and is one of the largest mobile operators in Brazil, with more than 16.2 million customers. Claro operates in several regions throughout Brazil: Rio de Janeiro/Espirito Santo, Minas Gerais, Centro Oeste, Rio Grande do Sul, interior of Sao Paulo, metropolitan Sao Paulo and the northeast. "Claro's ongoing relationship with Harris is an example of our continuing, successful efforts to supply a highly effective service assurance solution in Brazil and throughout South America," said John Koenig, vice president of Harris' NetBoss business unit, an operation of Harris Microwave Communications Division.
