Harris Corporation Awarded Potential $77 Million Integration Contract by the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) MELBOURNE, Fla., March 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS), a leading integrator of complex communications and information processing systems for U.S. government agencies, today announced that it has been awarded a three-year contract with a potential value of $77 million to develop and deploy a single user interface in support of National Security Agency (NSA) analysts. Harris is leading a team composed of Northrop Grumman Corporation, Applied Minds, Inc. (AMI), Dynamics Research Corporation (DRC), and Vision Systems & Technology, Inc. (VSTI). "Our user interface will seamlessly integrate existing applications and lay a cost-effective foundation for future application development," said Russ Haney, president of the National Programs business unit of Harris Corporation's Government Communications Systems Division (GCSD). "The new interface will provide NSA analysts with a flexible, intuitive computer work environment that will significantly enhance productivity. NSA has been a key Harris customer for over 30 years and we look forward to being able to continue to provide the highest levels of capability and functionality for this program." Under the terms of the contract, the Harris-led team is providing a framework for complete software application integration, including integrating existing analytic applications, deploying the newly developed software throughout NSA's infrastructure, training users, providing logistics support, and creating a software developer's toolkit that will enable cost-effective development and integration of future analytic applications.
