Lukoil PJSC (LKOH.MZ) said Tuesday that it has signed an agreement with Italy's ENI SpA (ENI.MI) relating to three blocks in shallow waters in Mexico.

The Russian energy company said that under the terms of the agreement, Eni is assigned 40% of Block 12, with Lukoil retaining a 60% stake and remaining as project operator.

Eni--in turn--assigned 20% of blocks 10 and 14 to Lukoil, while staying operator for those projects.

The deal is subject to approval by Mexico's National Hydrocarbons Commission, Lukoil said.
