ENI SpA (ENI.MI) said Wednesday that it is pulling out of
upstream production in Croatia by selling its assets in the country
to local oil company INA-Industrija nafte.
Under the terms of the deal, which is subject to regulatory
approval, INA will acquire 100% of Eni's Croatian subsidiary Eni
Croatia b.v.
Neither company disclosed a sale price for the assets, which
produce around 2,500 barrels of oil equivalent a day, Eni said.
The two companies have signed a commercial agreement to ensure
that Italy will continue to receive natural gas produced at
Croatia's Marica exploitation area.
The Italian oil major said the divestment was part of its
asset-disposal strategy.
