Corn Products International's Brazilian Subsidiary Increases Equity Ownership to 50 Percent in Getec Joint Venture

International, Inc. (NYSE:CPO) announced today that its wholly
owned subsidiary, Corn Products Brasil - Ingredientes Industriais
Ltda., and SPI Brasil Participacoes Ltda., a unit of Associated
British Foods plc (ABF: L), have both increased their ownership to
50 percent from 20 percent in Getec Guanabara Quimica Industrial
S.A., or Getec. Getec is a major Brazilian producer of polyols,
including liquid sorbitol and mannitol, and anhydrous dextrose, for
the personal care, food, candy and confectionary, and
pharmaceutical markets. Marking its 100th anniversary in 2006, Corn
