On the game field at the college bowl's first timeout,
Bridgepoint Education's Chief Executive Officer Andrew Clark presented the check to Cesar and
Kandy, children representing Promises2Kids, along with
Promises2Kids' Program Coordinator, Stephanie Trolinger and Margo Fudge, Health and Human Services Agency
program manager for the County of San
Diego. "With Bridgepoint's success in San Diego comes the opportunity – the duty,
really – to give back to the community. We're happy to support
Promises2Kids and are proud of the work they do in the areas of
child abuse prevention and advocacy, protection and support, and
education and training," said Clark.
Exactly 60,000 tickets were sold to the game between the
Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Washington
Huskies, which developed into a surprising 19-7 win for
Washington. Bridgepoint Education
donated one dollar for each of those
tickets to Promises2Kids.
