BMC Software Inc. (BMC) ended last week on a high note with four consecutive deal wins in its kitty.

ITS InfoCom, an Information Technology (IT) solution provider, deployed BMC Software’s Remedy IT Service Management (ITSM) Suite. ITS InfoCom provides its customers with integrated IT service solutions to help them better manage their businesses. Leveraging BMC Software’s ITSM suite, the company will now be able to better manage its own computing system and provide improved services to its customers.

BMC Software’s Remedy ITSM suite has also been deployed by The Bank of Communications Ltd. The leading Chinese commercial bank intends to upgrade its Shanghai Data Center to improve its overall IT performance.

The Bank of Communications’ association with BMC Software’s Remedy ITSM suite dates back to 2004. The solutions have worked favorably for the Bank’s overall operational efficiency and control.

American global aerospace, defense, security and advanced technology provider Lockheed Martin Corp. (LMT) also relies on BMC Software’s proven IT solutions.

To avoid delays or disruptions in the IT system of its ongoing F-35 aircraft program, Lockheed Martin deployed BMC Atrium Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and BMC Atrium Discovery and Dependency Mapping (ADDM) solutions. Apart from these, Lockheed also deployed BMC Software’s Remedy ITSM suite to manage its service desk efficiently and BladeLogic Automation suite to automate the flow of software distribution and easy configuration.

Last but not least, BMC Software offered its cloud-based Remedyforce Service Desk solutions to Lumen21, helping it to replace its existing service-desk systems. Lumen21 develops infrastructure services, managed services and application development solutions.

It’s difficult for us to guess the actual contribution from these deals as financial details of none were disclosed. But we remain positive on the surging demand for BMC Software’s products as well as its association with Lockheed Martin. Moreover, we can see that the new deals are from different industry verticals, which increases the stability of revenue streams in our opinion.

Apart from this, we remain encouraged by BMC Software’s impressive fourth quarter results, attributable to strong customer demand for its Service Automation, SaaS and cloud solutions.

At the same time, the growing competition from big industry players such as IBM Inc. (IBM), Hewlett-Packard Company (HPQ), EMC Corp. (EMC) and CA Inc. (CA) remains a concern.

Currently, BMC Software has a Zacks #3 Rank, indicating a short-term Hold recommendation.
