Belo Presents 2007 William H. Seay Award to Don Dresner, Director of Press Production at The Press-Enterprise

DALLAS, May 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Belo Corp. (NYSE:BLC)
announced that Don Dresner, director/Press Production for The
Press-Enterprise received the 14th annual William H. Seay Award at
the Company's 2007 Annual Meeting of Shareholders held earlier
today. The Press-Enterprise is Belo's Riverside, California-based
subsidiary that publishes the largest daily newspaper serving
Inland Southern California. The award is named in honor of the late
William H. Seay, who served on Belo's Board of Directors for 22
years before his retirement in 1995. The award is given annually by
the Board of Directors to an employee whose standards and values
reflect Seay's integrity, loyalty, journalistic standards and
community commitment, the same principles that have guided Belo for
more than 160 years. In presenting the award, Dunia A. Shive,
Belo's president and Chief Operating Officer, said, "Don's success
comes from challenging the old way of doing things and adopting the
new. Don is a genuinely humble man who avoids the spotlight and
instead credits his team and others for his accomplishments. He was

Belo's Seay Award is all about." Dresner began his career at The
Press-Enterprise as a press operator almost 35 years ago. He has
risen through the ranks and currently serves as director/Press
Production, where he is responsible for the newspaper's printing
