AFLAC Named One of the '100 Best Companies to Work For in America' Fortune magazine names AFLAC to its annual listing of best employers. COLUMBUS, Ga., Dec. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AFLAC has been named to Fortune magazine's list of the "100 Best Companies to Work For in America" for the sixth consecutive year. The list appears in the magazine's January 12, 2004, issue. Companies were evaluated on employee surveys and company questionnaires, with the employees' opinions being given two-thirds of the total score. Nearly half of the more than 46,000 employees who were surveyed also gave written comments about their workplaces. Each candidate company also filled out a questionnaire detailing its people policies, practices, and philosophies. "AFLAC is honored to be included on Fortune's list.
