Rochester Medical Corporation Commences Suit for Access to Hospital Market STEWARTVILLE, Minn., March 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Rochester Medical Corporation today announced it has commenced suit against C.R. Bard, Inc., Tyco International (US),Inc., Tyco Healthcare Group, L.P., Novation L.L.C., VHA Inc., Premier, Inc., and Premier Purchasing Partners, L.P., to recover damages and to gain access to the urological products and hospital markets. Bard and Tyco are manufacturers of products thatare competitive to Rochester Medical's products. The remaining defendants are group purchasing organizations (GPOs) who effectively decide what products their member hospitals will purchase. The suit alleges that the defendants engaged in anti-competitive practices and product disparagement to prevent Rochester Medical's entry into those markets. The suit is venued in the United Stated District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Texarkana Division. Rochester Medical Corporation is represented in the suit by the Lanier Law Firm of Houston, Texas and by Patton, Tidwell & Schroeder, L.L.P., of Texarkana, Texas. Rochester Medical also stated that it did not believe the suit would have a materially adverse impact on revenues or earnings.
