Perry Ellis International Names Doug Jakubowski as Chief Merchandising Officer for the Perry Ellis Division

Perry Ellis (NASDAQ:PERY) announced today the appointment and
return of Doug Jakubowski as Chief Merchandising Officer – leading
all global operations for the Perry Ellis brand. Jakubowski who
previously held several executive level positions with both Salant
Corporation and Perry Ellis International returns to Perry Ellis to
guide the product strategy for the Perry Ellis brand from design
conception to product assortment to its final presentation in
stores. He will report directly to Oscar Feldenkreis, president and
COO of Perry Ellis International, Inc.

Jakubowski joins Perry Ellis International, Inc. from Kenneth
Cole Productions, where he most recently served as Chief
Merchandising Officer, responsible for the development of all
footwear, apparel, & accessories within the Company’s
wholesale, retail, & international divisions.
For eight years, from 1997 to 2005, Jakubowski held executive
level positions with both Salant Corporation and Perry Ellis
International including President of the Perry Ellis division from
2003 to 2005, responsible for the day to day operation of the men’s
sportswear, dress shirt, and accessory divisions.
Jakubowski is a graduate of LIM College in New York City and a
member of the board of directors of several local New York
organizations.
