PR Newswire (US)
LONDON, Aug. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- MICROS-Fidelio UK Ltd, a
wholly- owned subsidiary of MICROS Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:MCRS) and
a leading provider of information technology solutions for the
hospitality and retail industries, has partnered with Everton
Football Club to implement MICROS 9700 Hospitality Management
System (HMS) throughout all of the hospitality facilities in the
Goodison Park Stadium. The fully integrated MICROS 9700 HMS
solution goes live at Goodison Park this weekend and will allow
Everton to control all stock, menu items, and reporting from one
centrally managed system. The requirement to implement a solution
with stand-alone resilience was easily met by the MICROS 9700 HMS,
and will significantly improve customer service levels throughout
the stadium. MICROS Materials Control will track and manage
inventory levels throughout all food and beverage outlets,
utilising handheld technology to increase speed and efficiency,
resulting in improved cost of sales and better profit margins.
Everton's specific requirement for real-time, web-based reporting,
which allows the Premiership ground to make critical business
decisions quickly, is being made possible by the implementation of
MICROS's mymicros.net business intelligence portal. Accessed via a
web browser, the mymicros.net content rich Internet portal includes
access to hosted applications for point-of-sale, back-office, data
warehousing, business intelligence, and other business applications
and content, creating the next-generation model of stadium
enterprise systems. "We required a hospitality management solution
that is proven within the stadium marketplace and we gained great
confidence from MICROS's recent stadium deals throughout the
world," stated Mike Cheston, Company Secretary, Everton Football
Club. "It was also imperative to us to select a superior hardware
solution and we get that with the MICROS Workstation 4." Built on
the robust Microsoft(R) Windows(R) CE .NET platform, the MICROS
Workstation 4 (WS4) is capable of stand-alone operations and the
open system design allows inter-operability with Windows(R)
compatible applications and EPOS peripherals. "We are delighted to
be partnering with Everton at its Goodison Park Stadium," stated
Managing Director of MICROS-Fidelio UK Ltd, Frank Ward. "By
implementing a totally integrated enterprise solution, we will aid
Everton in maximising efficiency of its hospitality sales and
improving the overall visitor experience." For more information on
